I was creating a second Windows 10 partition and it functioned properly, but when I booted into the older drive, the OS loaded and allowed login. However, the desktop background didn’t match the original setting—it was black instead of the intended color. Access to my personal files was blocked, and only basic tools like Settings, Command Prompt, Task Manager, and task bar icons remained. The system displayed a warning about the task bar issue and suggested signing out to attempt a fix. My efforts didn’t resolve the problem.

You're referring to configuring a dual-boot setup where the second Windows installation is on a different drive than the one you're currently using. Did you add the new drive during installation, or was it already present before?

Mistakenly set up the new system on top of the existing one rather than replacing it, which is perfectly fine to stop all devices before starting an operating system.
