Issues with VM Hackintosh
Issues with VM Hackintosh
Hello. I'm facing some issues with my build setup. It uses Ubuntu Bionic Beaver, a Sabertooth 990FX motherboard, FX-8350 processor, PNY GeForce 210 for graphics, and the Radeon HD 5450. After configuring it as a hackintosh with QEMU, everything works until I try to run the VM. Then I encounter an error saying "internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor." The message mentions a machine type 'pc-i440fx-3.1' which isn't supported. Could you help me figure out what to change?
Hi @eepotee, do you prefer installing via the CLI or GUI? Which command do you use? Are there any other VMs you'd like to test? You can share the log file located at /var/log/libvirt/qemu/<VM name> PS: hackintosh discussion is not allowed by community rules. However, I can assist with getting KVM running if that's part of your problem.
I attempted the steps shown in the video. The commands I used were to define the domain and set up the installation. This is my first time running a VM setup like that.
