A quick bio update is simple—just steer clear of stormy weather or anything likely to cause a power cut. As for the updates, they’re only partial and don’t work in every situation.

From Reddit discussions it looks like Gigabyte and MSI have higher rates of issues compared to Asus, especially regarding motherboards rather than CPUs. This applies to your 5950x build as well. Make sure everything else is in place except the motherboard, which you’ve already updated by returning a cheaper MSI model.
