Hey everyone, I'm facing a pretty strange problem with my TV. I recently upgraded my RX580 graphics card from my main PC to something more powerful. Now I have an extra graphics card left over that still has some functionality. I decided to set up another PC as a media center and for light gaming. Everything seems installed and configured properly, but when I connect the PC to the TV in the living room, I see weird issues. Instead of normal startup messages, I get distorted noise—sometimes solid colors, other times it looks misaligned or leaves parts of the screen blank.
I switched to an older Nvidia card, which works fine on the TV. I've tested multiple HDMI cables and even tried connecting the RX580 to other displays in the house, but it still functions there. The real puzzle is this: after replacing the Nvidia card, I turned off both the PC and the TV, switched the power supply off, removed the old card, and put the RX580 back in. When I tried to boot up, the TV just showed the last image it displayed before shutdown, like it was stuck in some kind of cache. The TV is an older Panasonic model with a 3D panel and uses HDMI 1.4, while the RX580 is supposed to work with HDMI 2.0—but apparently they aren't backwards compatible.
I'm really confused and don’t want to waste more time fixing things. I’d love to get this working before considering a bigger replacement like a new TV. Any ideas?

I connected a TV box and a Playstation to the same port, tried them all, even using the RX580 in other ports. Only with the PC connected via the RX580 did everything work properly (Nvidia functioned well). I believe I made some improvements: moved the PC to another room, reinstalled drivers (DFU and others), finished setup, then brought it back to the den. After booting, it showed garbage instead of the POST screen, but after about 10 seconds it started correctly and opened Windows fine. I’m starting to think the issue might be linked to the dual panel configuration of the 3D TV...?
It appears the TV transmits an incorrect EDID that the RX580 misinterprets, causing errors on the POST screen until Windows initializes and the driver activates. This issue doesn’t occur with other spare cards I own (GTX960 and R9 270x), whereas the RX580 functions properly with any display. The solution I used was a HDMI-USB capture card, allowing me to connect a laptop as an external monitor without needing to move the PC.
