Hello everyone. I discovered that one of the USB ports on my motherboard is behaving oddly. When I plug in a phone or power bank, it works fine and charges them properly. However, if I connect a USB flash drive or portable hard drive, it doesn’t read them at all. What might be causing this issue? Could the port stop functioning? How does it charge devices when everything seems to work correctly? All drivers are installed without problems. Motherboard model: B360 AORUS GAMING 3 WIFI.

It makes sense, it's typical for one USB port to act differently.

When the USB port experiences a power surge, data transmission fails. The current remains active indefinitely. After restarting the computer or resetting the USB hub, will data transfer resume successfully?

Examine the connector interior to verify contacts remain straight and not overlapping
