I don’t have deep expertise in this topic, but I’ll try to clarify my reasoning. The explanation centers on how the motherboard organizes its memory slots and how pairing works. By separating DIM slots into DIMMA and DIMMB banks, the system allows dual-channel operation efficiently. You paired a new DIMM with an existing one by inserting it into the appropriate slot, which maintains compatibility. Keeping each DIMM kit together in its bank ensures proper testing and pairing without mixing kits. This approach preserves the advantages of dual-channel while avoiding potential issues from mixed configurations. Many users prefer buying pre-assembled kits to simplify this process. I hope this makes more sense now.

This really helped me avoid buying new kits and purchasing an updated one. I just kept my computer running for six hours of gaming and video editing without any issues, and I've restarted it several times too. Everything now makes sense. I'm just hoping this was something more widely known—I never thought anyone would recommend placing RAM on paired dimm slots. Thanks again @PyroTheWise! This actually saved me from having to replace the RAM sticks and get a newer system altogether.

I reviewed the entire manual and didn’t locate any fix for the dimm slot issue. It simply advises placing the slots in standard positions without the correct pairing, and all the xmp information was fine. I also checked the team group’s support page and MSI resources, but they only offered a replacement suggestion. Unlike your note @ShrimpBrime and @PyroTheWise, they provided much clearer assistance.
