Issues with the NVIDIA driver in the GeForce 3060
The circumstances are this way: the graphics card arrived on July 25th via Mercado Livre, an online platform in Brazil. After a month, I observed it had a problem. While using social media or websites (such as YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, etc.), small black squares would randomly appear on the screen. The effect was brief and subtle at times. I ran tests—checking if the card was correctly installed, testing all DisplayPort and HDMI connections, and even using just the cables—but the issue continued. This doesn’t happen with another graphics card. It’s intermittent, meaning it doesn’t always occur, but has become more frequent recently. The black squares don’t stay visible for long; they pop up and vanish quickly, sometimes in about 2 to 3 seconds. On September 21st, it remained on the screen for roughly 8 seconds. If helpful, it tends to happen more often when watching TikTok videos, scrolling through Twitter updates, viewing YouTube clips, or rapidly moving the mouse on YouTube. Galax responded: “Other users with the same graphics card model are facing the same issue; it’s an Nvidia driver error, not a hardware fault. We aren’t responsible for the drivers, but we recommend using older versions until Nvidia fixes it. Thank you for your consideration.” I wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this and if it’s truly linked to the driver. I also tried version 536.40 and only noticed the problem once. If you have advice or a solution, please share. If I need to push for warranty protection, let me know.”
