Hello, everyone! I’m just starting out here and have a few questions about my new PC setup. I assembled the system, installed the operating system, and everything seemed to function properly. I was really looking forward to playing games without any lag. However, soon after, I began facing some problems. After a few PUBG sessions, the game froze completely. I thought, “Alright, I’ll just restart it.” But when I tried, I encountered my first BSOD. That caught me off guard. Later, while playing Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero (a new release), I got another BSOD with the message: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. This error was unfamiliar on my previous Windows 10 machine. I chose to upgrade to Windows 11, but now I’m running into more issues, even after reinstalling. I looked up information and discovered that enabling EXPO profile with four RAM sticks can sometimes cause problems. I’m using DDR5 6000MHz RAM, so I reduced the speed to 5200MT/s, hoping it would help. Still, I’m unsure if that resolved the issue. I’m not completely clear on what the BSOD means or how to fix it. If anyone has advice or suggestions, I’d really appreciate it!

PC Specifications:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- GPU: GTX 1060 (3GB) – planning upgrade to 7800XT
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance (4x16GB)
- DDR5 6000MHz
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk
- WiFi: Corsair RM750x 80 PLUS Gold
- PSU: Corsair RM750x 80 PLUS Gold Full Modular, 750W

I’ve attached my dump file for anyone who wants to review. Thanks in advance for your help!

Check for BIOS updates first, as they might fix the issue. If that doesn't work, consider other RAM combinations.

Using 4 sticks with DDR5 and AMD configurations often caps memory controller speeds at 3600, making 5200 potentially unrealistic. Following the BIOS update instructions could improve stability, but it's wise to turn EXPO off beforehand. Running at any speed—even if it boots slower—can help verify system reliability.

It won't work well on AM5 with just 4 RAM sticks. Consider returning the kit if possible, or get a 2x32 module, or run it in stock mode.

Absolutely, you can definitely upgrade to a 32GB RAM system with an Expo setup. It’s a solid choice if you want better performance without breaking the bank.

Without memory-specific checks, we can't be sure; however, four units are likely to affect the result.

I think I'll attempt it with the default stock settings first.

At the stock, the speed is configured for 3600Mt/s. The most noticeable improvement is the boot time from OS, which used to take about a minute but now runs in roughly 5 seconds—hopefully a positive sign

I haven't logged in recently, but from what I saw, most mainboard makers didn't support 4 sticks with DDR5 and EXPO/XMP on ATMOS. It might change in a future BIOS update, so sticking with 2 sticks could be safer. The default speed is usually around 4800MHz without those extra features.

The issue seems linked to "amdfendr.sys" or AMD Crash Defender, which restarts the GPU if it stalls. This could be related to memory errors, but it might just point to a driver problem. With only one dump file, it's hard to tell if the crash was caused by the driver or RAM. Try turning off the integrated GPU in BIOS and see if the problem persists. If it does, focus on the RAM. Update your BIOS and test with two memory sticks at a time. Use slots 2 and 4 relative to the CPU socket. If one pair still crashes, the faulty stick is likely defective. If both pairs work, the issue might be with multiple sticks or another component. Share any new dumps if you suspect RAM failure. Please let me know your findings.
