Issues with the Game Mod Manager on Windows 11?
Hi,
I'm facing an issue with a mod manager I'm trying to use alongside some mods. It's been a week since I started using it, but nothing has worked... Let me clarify...
Last weekend, I installed a mod manager named "Kaedrin's Mod Manager v1.9.0" hoping to play Rome 2 with mods enabled. I had over 100 mod packs ready to choose from and customized profiles, but the manager was extremely slow when opening and reading the mod pack files. At one point, I thought it crashed, but it just took a long time. I forced a restart, but then the manager would never open again, and I kept seeing this pop-up during startup...

Currently, the mod manager doesn't work at all. I tried another one, but it won't load the mods to run in the game. I can play the "vanilla" version but not the modded one. I uninstalled Rome and Steam, deleted everything related to them, and reinstalled them again... but the manager still refuses to load the mods. It can see the mods and allow me to enable them, yet each time only the vanilla game loads.
I suspect the forced restart might have caused a problem. After five days (about three hours each day) of going through all normal processes with Chat GPT (like checking game data folders), I'm still stuck.
After this long wait, I'm at a loss and posted here to see if anyone can help or point me in the right direction. I can share screenshots if needed.🙏
