Hi everyone, I own a TUF FA506II (R7 4800H, 1650Ti, 16G RAM, NVME SSD, Windows 10). Recently it began acting oddly. It connects to an external 2k monitor via HDMI 2.0. Initially, when I launch a game, the screen sometimes goes black. If I press ALT+F4 inside the game, it recovers, or I have to completely power off the system by holding the power button. Over time, this problem got worse and now it causes blackouts whenever I start a game. For example, when playing KSP, the loading is smooth until the main menu appears—then the screen goes dark for 3-5 seconds before coming back. Moving the mouse triggers the blackout, and it keeps happening every time I move the cursor until ALT+F4 is pressed. Temperatures are also high, often above 96°C on the CPU and around 90°C on the GPU. I’ve smelled something unusual, but it’s hard to say if it’s tobacco residue from the previous owner or a burning component inside. I checked hwinfo and the Windows Event Viewer, but found nothing out of the ordinary. I’ve tried swapping cables and even tested a different monitor (FHD), but that one didn’t cause the issue. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
