Issues with the CPU
Hi. Today my machine faced an issue. After turning it on, it started but didn’t respond afterward. Even after connecting the monitor to the motherboard, nothing happened. I checked the RS CMOS, plugged in and out cables for the GPU and PSU, but everything seemed normal. When I looked at the CPU pins to see if they were bent, they looked fine. However, when trying to power it back on, I couldn’t lock it in, so I reinstalled the liquid CPU cooler. That’s when the PC booted up and I entered BIOS. But the temperatures were soaring, making me hesitant to run any programs. The fans and lights were working on the cooler. Anyone know what might be causing this?
My system specs: Asus ROG Strix Z270e socket-1151, Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake, Corsair Vengeance LED, DDR4 3200MHz, 32GB, Corsair CX750M PSU, Corsair Hydro series H115I, and Asus GeForce GTX 1070.
It seems you're concerned about the cooler placement. You should remove it and ensure the CPU is securely locked in position. If it's not aligned properly, it might not make proper contact, leading to poor thermal performance.
I secured the lock, yet nothing occurs. The computer boots up but displays only a black screen.
Have you considered connecting your monitor directly to the motherboard rather than using a graphics card?
