One pipe would carry hot water toward the radiator from the block, while another would bring cooled water toward the block.

The coolant temperature should adjust smoothly while circulating through the loop continuously. It shouldn’t halt and absorb all the heat at once, indicating either the power supply isn’t connected (like a CPU fan header issue causing a fan error on boot) or the pump has failed completely.

A snapshot of your cooling system could help identify issues. My 5900X operates between 42°C idle and 75°C-86°C under full load, PBO-based—air cooled. Updated April 25, 2022 by An0maly_76 Added more details

It definitely needs to be functioning properly. I turned off the computer, disconnected the pump, and the temperatures rose rapidly in the BIOS. It seems like it’s working at least partially.

What's the room temperature? This could be another sign of buildup in the liquid lines of the AIO, leading to blocked or restricted flow. This may cause high CPU temperatures. I recommend stopping any benchmarking while you resolve these cooling problems. Your idle temperatures might already indicate an issue. For better results, consider switching to an air cooler for your CPU—many options are available and I can assist you with choosing one.

That case honestly doesn't appear well-suited for cooling. And that's probably a lot of your problem. It can't cool if there's nowhere for the heat to go. My setup - Corsair 4000X case - includes three SP120 fans Added three LL120 fans (wasn't aware these didn't match the included fans, but they work) Corsair iCUE Commander Core XT (two thermal probes in CPU cooler) Scythe Mugen 5 Black Edition Custom fan curve -- 50-75 percent 30C-70C - 85%-90% above 70. Never tops 76C without PBO, 86C with PBO. Edited April 25, 2022 by An0maly_76 Revised

The main focus here is recognizing this as a brand-new issue that didn’t exist before. The existing configuration was fully sufficient and functioning properly, so any changes we consider would divert attention from the core problem. I’m aware we’ve discussed it several times, but I’m unsure if you’ve completely addressed it. Have you confirmed the pump’s RPM? The actual value should be around 3000 RPM according to some sources.

I could adjust the cooler's orientation, try a different placement, which may assist in removing the partial obstruction.
