Issues with Steam Deck and some questions [new user]?
I tried a used steam-deck from a seller and found some problems worth checking. I want to understand if these are typical issues or if the device is faulty.
Steam Deck Model: Early LCD 256GB variant.
Concerns:
- Onscreen keyboard didn’t open correctly when I pressed Steam + X (mainly on terminal). When it opens, typing sometimes turns the cursor into a solid rectangle or hollow box and stops accepting input.
- Battery health is at 100%, but Power On Cycle shows 594 and Power on hours is 617—this seems unusual.
- The screen and back panel got hot during desktop mode testing; this is normal?
- How long will the LCD battery last without gaming? I noticed a drop of about 15-10% after 1.5 hours of non-gaming use.
