Over the last few months I've faced a recurring problem where restarting my PC leads to a boot loop that eventually displays the gigabyte error screen with "Boot Failure Detected." I have an option to reset to default settings, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. This issue appears intermittently—sometimes the system boots fine, other times it loops until I power it off and restart. I suspect it might be related to my XMP profile settings, so I adjusted the memory clock without success. I've been using POST codes for troubleshooting, though finding detailed Gigabyte information is difficult. Error codes I've received include 54 and 52, which change each time the system boots. Despite using the PC for rendering and FX simulations, it runs smoothly during long sessions once booted, leaving me uncertain about the root cause. I'm seeking guidance since pinpointing the problem feels challenging.

It’s really unfortunate you’re facing this boot loop problem. Here’s a simpler approach:
1. Restart your PC and press the power button to enter recovery mode. Ensure it powers off on the boot screen before trying again.
2. Go to the setup menu and select “Startup Repair.”
3. Complete the steps provided, which should fix any corrupted startup files.
Let me know if you need more guidance!

This advice comes from Linus and suggests checking the power supply first if things are acting up. Sometimes a faulty cable or voltage issue can explain the problem. In general, hardware often plays a role when behavior becomes erratic.

I agree with Verrierr it might be the power supply. Also consider turning off XMP completely and verify your dual channel setup—when using two DIMMs, the second and fourth ports are typically correct. I’ve also used Corsair Vengeance and it caused an issue. Update your BIOS if you haven’t already.

Which storage device are you employing for the boot drive? If it's a Samsung 980 Pro, consider using Samsung Magician to verify firmware updates.
