Issues with starting a computer from RAM.
Hello, today I upgraded my system with an additional 16GB of RAM. The issue is that the PC won’t boot when all modules are installed together—it shows a black screen. It works if only A1 and B1 are used, but not when multiple slots are active. A2 and B2 function normally, though. If I put just one module in any slot at once it boots, suggesting the system isn’t trying to use dual-channel on those pairs. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4, paired with two 8GB Crucial Ballistix 3600MHz modules, and the new RAM is Kingston Fury Renegade. Anyone has any insights on what might be causing this problem or how to resolve it?
RAM performance can vary, particularly during overclocking. It will operate at the minimum speeds and timings specified by the manufacturer. Please share those details.
