I had previously upgraded to 2x8GB 3200MHz RAM with an Aorus X570 Elite Wi-Fi, but a later purchase of a 4x8GB Vengeance RGB Pro at 3600MHz caused BIOS recovery to trigger and reset the system. On my earlier 3200MHz setup, I managed to apply DRAM Calc safe settings without issues and noticed slight performance gains. It's frustrating since I ended up spending more on higher-end RAM that didn't perform well. I attempted to use a Thaiphoon export but had no success. I also increased the DRAM voltage to 1.4V, though I'm unsure what else to adjust. I'm new to these changes and don’t know which settings to tweak further. I understand it's not ideal RAM, but I’m hoping the Samsung B-die can help stabilize 3600MHz. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

turning off ECC can significantly improve DRAM setup if needed. If that doesn't work, adjust other PROTD configurations—it mainly influences stability, not speed (usually around 32Ω to 58Ω).

Start by adjusting the drama voltage to 1.35, then configure the SOC to 1.1. Choose 3200 with XMP enabled, and once stability is confirmed, proceed to 3600.

It started up properly this time. Still unsure if tweaking Aorus' menu options helps compared to AMD's many menus. The AMD menus don't reset during Optimizing Defaults, which is strange. Updated at 3600MHz with the same settings didn't succeed. Should I try using safe settings and increasing ProcODT? Edited September 26, 2020 by I Hendrycks

Thanks for the update. Most of the settings are working but the system still doesn’t boot. I adjusted the DRAM voltage to 1.4V and enabled XMP High Frequency Report on Level 3, and it started up successfully. However, during startup it ran extremely slowly when loading programs, eventually causing a blue screen. I also ran membench earlier and encountered numerous errors claiming it couldn’t write to RAM, suggesting the 1.4V setting might be problematic. Later, I tried 1.38V by chance and it worked well; TimeSpy showed improved performance. Should I now focus on tuning the timings? It’s currently at the rated CL18 atm. In reality, experiment lightly until you achieve stability; any mistakes mean data loss risk. Because DRAM adjustments are complex, pinpointing problems can be difficult. Sometimes increasing voltage might provide temporary relief, but it isn't the best approach. Generally, most DDR4 modules can work with 1.45V for regular use, and some high-quality options support up to 1.5V–1.55V. At these levels, adding airflow with a fan is a reasonable enhancement.

The 10.3k MHz value is definitely a solid choice for now. I'm not sure if it's considered ideal with your 2070 Super and 3800x, but it works well for you. Keep up the good work!
