Hello everyone, I'm Gold Nova 2 in CS:GO. I usually excel at top fragging in competitive matches and also in DM games. Overall, I'm not a terrible player. Still, my aim isn't perfect. I've spent a lot of time practicing my spray control with the AK. In workshop maps designed to boost your aiming and recoil management, I feel confident and can create tight patterns. But in-game it doesn't work as well, even though I remind myself to lower my mouse position. My shots sometimes go off course. Do you have any advice or tips to help me improve? Thanks ahead!

Stay calm, if you manage it on aim maps you'll handle it in competition.

Same as me, I'm a NOVA master—I tend to make a mess, but I can still hit the targets and clear fire easily.

You should understand the distinction between aiming and flicks. Aim refers to positioning your crosshair where the enemy might appear, whereas a flick is about reacting quickly. Good reaction time gives you an edge in bullets. For practice, play offline bots without opponents and focus on shooting at walls for 2-3 hours. Alternatively, use older models like MP9, MP10, or MP7—they can be effective in lower ranks such as MG and Nova. Just move and fire.

To improve, focus on consistent practice and use the provided training maps. I often repeat CROTAP—Crouch Tap. It’s best to stick with static crosshair unless you need dynamic movement. Mastering intervals lets you switch to secondary when ammo runs low. Remember, even with 50 wins, your ranking stays in silver due to high variance. Stay calm and keep practicing.

only the final shots appear in deathmatches on the community servers. Even though I'm not at the top (silver elite master), it's really assisting me with my accuracy and quick reactions.

I also managed to win decisively after about 30 minutes of playing.

You can look for the 'CROTAP' guide on official websites or specialized forums related to your topic.

Not very skilled at writing guides and rarely seen, but I replied when I was still thinking like a kid—playing nerfs, gun fun, oh the excitement. Not FPS in general. My latest work is fiction; the biggest was Calamity God with DigitalHermit on forums, now 50 pages (though I’m lying—I always delay!). Ten more pieces are waiting on MSWord. I also have a CSGO draft on my blog, still not done after months of LOTSO.
