I was reduced since a friend wanted a different card; I gave mine because I seldom play on PC these days. I’m not certain of the precise GPU. You can check it by testing your system or using online tools.

For the OP, consider downloading from AMD's site for proper driver detection: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool. Also, try uninstalling old drivers first—use the NVIDIA and AMD uninstallers: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/disp...nload.html

It was a problem back then, I thought there could be a solution now, but before that you mostly had to change the format. It happened during the XP era.

It could be that the issue wasn't serious, and the changes didn't affect it much. The problem might have been temporary or unrelated to the GPU update.
