I manage a four-monitor configuration for years. About twelve months ago I upgraded my system to an i5 12400F with an Asus Prime H610M-K D4 motherboard, 32GB Corsair DDR4-3200 RAM, a 1TB WD Black SN770 M2 SSD, and an MSI GTX 1660 Super with 6GB video memory. I'm using four AOC 24-inch monitors arranged in a 2x2 layout. My previous setup was a GTX 1060 TI that had three HDMI inputs and one DVI port. The new card offers three DisplayPort connections plus one HDMI. The problem is the display port connections are extremely fragile—if a cat knocks over the cable, the monitors fail instantly. I only have issues with the display ports, not HDMI. Once a port malfunctions, it takes time to restore everything because fixing one causes another to stop working. Have others experienced similar challenges, and did you discover any solutions?

Consider alternative cables; if relocating them leads to problems, adjust their placement or test different options.
