Hey there, I just realized I need to set up a new account because I misplaced my old login details and email. Sorry about that. I'm attempting to install Windows 10 on my brand-new PC but running into some problems. Right now I'm using an Apple laptop with MacOS, trying to create a bootable USB drive and feeling quite puzzled. The last time I managed this was a long time ago, and I downloaded the Windows 10 .iso file from the official website. I'm unsure what comes next after that. Most sites suggest opening the file and following several steps in a window to pick the desired drive for booting. But on my Mac, nothing appears when I open the ISO—just another folder with many files inside. I've tried copying everything onto an empty USB stick and plugging it into the BIOS, but the USB doesn't show up, so I can't choose it as a boot device. After restarting with all these files, instead of going straight to BIOS, I see an error saying the system is trying to boot operating software. I've also tried just inserting the ISO and seeing if it gets recognized in BIOS, but it still doesn't appear as a bootable drive. My motherboard is a Gigabyte X570 with a Ryzen 3700X. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to get this sorted quickly. Thanks.

! Format USB as FAT32 to ensure compatibility.
3) Pull out the ISO file and list every file and folder inside.
4) Move all extracted items onto the flash drive.
5) Start the PC and enter BIOS settings.
6) Turn off CSM, turn on Fast Boot and Secure Boot.
7) Save changes and exit; press F8 to access boot menu.
Does the drive appear in the list now?

I just attempted this and hit a snag at step 4. I formatted the USB drive to FAT32, wiped all contents, extracted files, etc. Then I moved the files onto it, but encountered the error: "The item ‘sources’ can’t be copied because it is too large for the volume’s format." The file size was 5.32gb. I’ll try transferring each file separately to check if that resolves the issue.

I've just logged into the "sources" folder. The file "install.wim" is 4.5GB and it's causing the issue you were experiencing.

Thats a common issue, redownload the ISO but dont get the international version, get the US version instead. The windows image will be small enough to fit on FAT32. Once installed you can swap region and Keyboard layout easily. For reference the issue is the language files, the international version has multiple languages, the US version has only one.

Consider the international version first before deciding.

It's curious to see if 1903 reached a size larger than 4GB. I'm trying to download the UNetBootIn program—it's free, includes a Mac version, and will generate an installer from an ISO file.

I'm working through this now, but it's taking longer than expected. It seems to be getting stuck at the install.wim file. I'll keep you updated.

Completed everything. Connected the USB and started the computer. It bypassed the BIOS and launched Windows automatically. I chose a language, pressed start, and then read a message: "Windows cannot open the required file C:\Sources\install.wim. Make sure all files needed for installation are present and restart the setup. Error code: 0x8007000D. What should I do?"

Sorry, I'm struggling to come up with new ideas right now.
