If Planetside 2 functioned on Linux, I’d abandon Windows entirely. The game might start, but the anti-cheat features wouldn’t work outside Windows.

Various AntiCheat versions are currently being developed by Proton Support. The timeline could be a month or two, with efforts coming from multiple teams.

VAC was the only solution I had in mind that might cause trouble on Linux, which feels funny since Proton is a Valve project. I don’t play competitive games anymore where anti-cheat matters much, but it’s good to know they’re still working on it for those who care.
