Issues with reaching 3200mhz on MSI B350M Bazooka with Ryzen 5 1600
Here is the revised version at the same length and structure:
Hi All,
I wanted to share my latest PC configuration:
Motherboard: MSI B350M Bazooka mATX
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 3.8Ghz @ 1.3V
CPU cooler: Cryorig H7
RAM: G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit 2x8GB SKU F4-3200C16D-16GVKB
GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX580 Pulse 8GB
PSU: EVGA Supernova 650W GQ 80+ Gold
Case: Fractal Design Define C Mini Window
The issue is that I’m unable to get the RAM to operate at 3200MHz. I’ve experimented with XMP enabled and disabled, adjusting values manually. I tested various DRAM voltages from 1.3V to 1.4V and SoC voltages from 1.1V to 1.15V, but no success. I also explored higher Vcore settings, though the highest I tried was 1.37V (currently 1.3V).
Additionally, disabling Gear down mode and tweaking timing didn’t resolve the problem consistently. Boot loops occur every time I save BIOS settings (F10), with the computer restarting 3 to 5 times. Ez debug shows RAM and CPU remain idle; sometimes it runs at 3200MHz, other times it resets back to 2133MHz.
I managed stability at 3066MHz (XMP off, 1.35V DRAM, 1.1V SoC, Vcore 1.3V) but experienced two reboots today morning despite the debug session. Any suggestions or tips for achieving a stable 3200MHz RAM speed? Or to reach a consistent 3066MHz without boot loops?
Thanks in advance,
All
