Hello everyone. I'm currently using a 1080Ti SLI setup, but in Fallout 4 the performance is much worse than with a single 1080Ti. The frame rate varies a lot, dropping from 144 to just 43 fps even in open areas. Witcher 3 runs at around 83 fps, though some players claim over 100 fps. Battlefield 1 doesn't work well in SLI—it just ignores the second card. Anyone have any ideas about what's happening?

Resolution refers to a high-definition quality, often associated with 4K. Just confirming that.

Well, Witcher 3 can be quite challenging depending on the region, which isn't surprising. I'd anticipate it would push any system to its limits even at high resolutions like 1080-1440p. For FO4, it seems to still operate independently. Have you checked similar games? Did you test proper scaling in a synthetic test? If you suspect driver problems, use DDU to reset your drivers and restart. Also, this can be quite basic—SLI only supports fullscreen. Borderless might not work well. Most apps function best in dedicated fullscreen. Just a quick note. Having tools like MSI Afterburner handy is always useful for monitoring GPU usage during games. It helps with troubleshooting.

I keep track of everything on my PC temperature, usage, voltages, etc. I run all settings in dedicated fullscreen mode. I already did the DDU check and reinstalled drivers. With one card I got 85 FPS in The Witcher 3, and with two cards it's around 90 sometimes.

I’ve checked other games and synthetic tests to see if the cards are actually improving. If something like Heaven didn’t scale properly, it could point to a problem with a particular driver update, a card itself, or the SLI bridge.

I completed the 3DMark First Strike (26000) and another dx12 game I didn’t remember the title for (16000).

It doesn't provide much clarity without side-by-side comparisons. The only detail I have is a Firestrike SLI Graphics score of 30064, suggesting your main card might be handling the load. Verify the second card is being detected, adjust SLI bridges if needed, and look in the Nvidia Control panel for "SLI Enabled" under 3D Settings ->Configure SLI etc.
