Since no one else uses it and the hardware seems intact, you should verify the drive status, ensure no software conflicts, and consider reinstalling the OS if necessary.
There are two 4GB sticks available. Consider disconnecting power and resetting the CMOS if needed. Check if the full capacity of one stick is functional. If not, shut down the system, relocate the stick to another slot, and reset the CMOS. Continue this process until you find a working slot. Always reset the CMOS after changing the RAM configuration.
It seems the CMOS battery might have depleted during that period.

If that happened then the computer would start in about three minutes, though it actually launches in roughly one minute. The main issue I’m encountering is with the games.
