Rage 2 was available for free a while back on Epic Games. I attempted to play it but the FPS remains around 80-90 even at the lowest settings, which seems much lower than the actual performance. I haven’t applied any fixes yet—just tried adding it to AMD software, disabling GPU overclocks, adjusting settings, using Windows High Performance mode, turning off game mode, and running it as admin. So far, the issue persists. My system specs are listed in my profile.

It resolved the issue by disabling the resolution scale entirely.

I'll give it a shot the next day. It was super frustrating, honestly!

The game kept freezing heavily during fast movement, making it feel like it was stuck on a rubber band, and the frame rate stayed high at 4K resolution.

It was exactly like my own experience—it seemed to loop, you'd run ten feet, pause, run another ten, pause, and keep going. Once it was turned off, it felt perfectly smooth, like butter.

It resolved the issue but caused unexpected artifacts during power-off and inconsistent performance under different settings.
