issues with pushing CPU beyond limits.
I recently achieved a CPU overclock on my Ryzen 7 5700x to 4800mhz with just 1.250v, and temperatures stayed around 55°C to 67°C during gaming sessions. It performed surprisingly well in titles like Valorant and PUBG, especially after adjusting the CPU ratio and core voltage. I understand overclocking can reduce lifespan, but my average temps never exceeded 60°C, so it seems unlikely to cause significant wear. I’m using an air cooler from GAMMAX400 via Deepcool and plan to upgrade to an AIO soon, which will be paired with a Deepcool LS720S ZERO DARK.
You probably adjusted the CPU or upgraded it before its overclocking could even matter. In about 6 to 7 years you might need to raise the voltage to 1.255-1.260 for stability, but that’s roughly it. CPU wear and lifespan aren’t issues unless you intend to keep it for another 15 years. You don’t have to replace the cooler if the GAMMAX400 maintains the CPU at 55-67°C during gaming—those temps are solid and give you plenty of room for further overclocking. If you’re planning an AIO, go ahead, but I’d rather invest in games instead.
