Issues with printing on the Brother HL-L2380ODW AIO printer?
The unit was inactive for nearly three years. It functioned last I knew. Now it only prints when in copier mode. It cannot print a test page from the computer or directly from the printer. No other files are printed, yet it scans and sends images to the computer. They remain connected and exchange data. The Windows troubleshooter reports no issues—surprising. However, since it won’t even generate its own test page, that’s what raises my concern. The display indicates printing for its own test page and receiving data when attempting to print from the computer, but it remains completely unresponsive.
Have you checked if the relevant printer drives are available on Brother's website?
Reinstall and adjust settings yourself—no external tools required.
Also consider checking for firmware updates.

This model is no longer supported, but it may still be useful to troubleshoot using the User Guide and reinstalling drivers.
Thanks for the link. I spent the past two days working through this issue. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, tried different systems, and changed the firmware. It reached 90 percent and then stopped. I had to restart everything again. The printer installed the driver package so I could update the firmware, but it got stuck at 90 percent and failed. I reset the printer multiple times. Now, when I try to update the firmware, it says it’s busy with something else. It claims to be receiving data but doesn’t confirm until I attempt the update. I let it run overnight twice, but it never completes. This happens regardless of whether it connects via USB, LAN, or WLAN. It’s like the instruction sheet says “How to keep an idiot busy (turn over)” on both sides.
