Hello everybody,
I observed that my server (Intel NUC model NUC6i7KYK) stopped working this morning. It wouldn't power on anymore. I examined the power cord and found a crack at the top of its plastic casing.

I also have another Intel NUC model NUC6i7KYK. After turning it off, I connected the intact power cord to the same server. The server started up but didn't display anything on the monitor. It eventually turned off again after a while, then came back on by itself for some time.

Eventually I powered down the server. I'm worried it might have a short circuit. Is there a way to fix this issue? Or is the machine completely dead? What should I do next?
Kind regards,
Bottling

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! It's possible that the NUC might've shorted or that the BIOS on the NUC failed. You could likely take apart the NUC and examine the circuitry near the power input section of the motherboard using a multimeter to pinpoint the issue if a visual check doesn't show any damaged parts.

I think there might be an issue with the power source. Check the voltage using a digital voltmeter.
