Windows 11 64 Ryzen 7 5700g (stock cooler) Rx 6650xt 8gb 32gb 3600mhz ram 750w Gold SFX PSU (Lian li) Hi all, While testing Battlefield 6 in beta, I experienced significant performance drops. Frequently, the game stalls below 30fps at 1080p low resolution. Typically I’d see around 70fps in high settings. Modern Warfare 2019 and Battlefield 1 also suffer from this problem. However, Just Cause 3, Jurassic World Evolution, Cyberpunk 2077, and the Dead Space remake run smoothly. Below are screenshots (sorry, I can’t embed AMD adrenaline or MSI afterburner effects) that illustrate the issues during performance drops. In Furmark, the GPU consumes roughly 160 watts, but it drops to about 120-150 watts during stable operation, and 80-100 watts when under load. Temperatures remain within normal ranges—around 70°C for both CPU and GPU. I’ve searched elsewhere but haven’t found many comparable reports, especially since only a few titles are affected. If this points to a power supply issue, what monitoring options exist? I’ve confirmed the fans spin occasionally. Thanks!

It's not uncommon for VRAM speeds to range around 2000MHz, so it seems typical.

Check your processor consumption, it's reaching 97%. CPU is limited.

I value your input and understand you're new to this issue. The situation you describe doesn't necessarily point to a consistent bottleneck. The GPU usage staying high while CPU usage stays low could be normal depending on the workload. The 5700G's performance might vary across different games and settings, making it hard to pinpoint consistently. For Battlefield 6, the Ryzen 3700X is often recommended for 60fps on high settings, and it seems comparable to the 5700G in some tests. If these patterns persist, it might simply be a matter of game-specific demands rather than a steady bottleneck. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

It seems the CPU is being utilized, possibly by a background process. Verify this in Task Manager while playing. *NOTE:* Also observed that 47 watts appears significantly reduced under single-core conditions, especially with multiple cores available.

You're still finding it a bit unclear. The CPU usage is indeed high, but the 65W TDP for the 5700G is typical and shouldn't cause issues. The GPU consistently runs at over 95%, which is normal for its workload. If the CPU were the main bottleneck, you'd expect much higher utilization there. The GPU's performance seems independent of CPU load. Let me know if you'd like further clarification!

For a 6650xt, the 5700G seems suitable but could be tight. Check if your CPU is actually failing or if the board lacks necessary power for your workload.

97% CPU usage tops 95% GPU usage, though. If you're pushing many cores at once, you might need more powerful ones. You mentioned other games don’t face this problem. I’d look into the core utilization during those games—I think the load is distributed across more cores, so each isn’t hitting its maximum.
