I just tried playing The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, and my graphics card was pushing the limits. Meanwhile, the cut scenes are lagging, even though my GPU isn’t heating up as it should at its settings. I’m trying to figure out if the issue is with the CPU or the GPU. My CPU is an Intel Core i5 4430.

Check your frame rate and configuration, including screen size. Note that AMD hasn't released updated drivers for Witcher 3 yet.

I set the maximum temperature to 50 once and didn’t realize it was left that way, causing severe thermal throttling. Please verify.

I ran the game at full frame rate with maximum graphics and post-processing options. The settings are set very high for visuals, and I'm using a 1680 x 1050 resolution. I also applied a GPU converter to my monitor. Regarding your concerns about using a DVI-to-VGA converter—will it significantly affect my FPS?

Reduce the game intensity for Witcher 3. Use Fraps to check FPS and possibly GPU usage to spot any unusual behavior.

It won't work at all to achieve good frame rates by pushing everything to its highest setting and lowering other parameters.

I'll use fraps to monitor the FPS and observe any unusual GPU behavior, checking how it appears in GPU Z.

Typically, once a game ends, its performance drops and the GPU struggles to keep up, causing temperatures to rise above 60°C. Even after reaching maximum settings, it’s still running at around 50°C.

I experienced some unusual fluctuations in GPU performance during gameplay.
