Checked the mesh side panel with noctua and LL120 intake on the side plus P12 as top intake while playing PCBS2 for about an hour. I noticed inconsistent performance. My VRAM reached maximum during loading screens (around 11GB in-game), and in endless mode, frames dropped to 40 instantly, only returning to 60 when switching to monitor or inventory. It also stuttered heavily. I have a PBO2 undervolt of -30 on the 5600. Usually I use around 10GB of VRAM in PCBS2 even at startup, while other games don’t need that much. Settings are set high with 2x MSAA, DLSS max quality, 1440p, and V-Sync at 60Hz (only because tearing is too bad and my TV doesn’t support G-Sync). I’ve tried various fixes and seen no temperature changes since CPU and GPU stayed under 65% RAM usage (~12GB), though it spikes during loading. The BIOS is up to date (version 3.44 beta), previous versions had the same issues, and the GPU/chipset drivers are current. CPU usage never exceeded 50%, so it’s not a CPU bottleneck. Switching to 1080p didn’t improve stability or FPS (still around 40 with stutter). Any suggestions? It seems the game isn’t optimized well. Thanks! Edited March 24, 2024 by filpo
