Hi, I'm having trouble with my Gigabyte R9 280 WindForce 3x OC. After downloading the MSI program for OC, the FPS on my GPU seems to drop slightly when I try to start it. Can someone help me understand what's going on?

According to the PSU tier list, tier 3 includes some Haswell compatible units and others that may not be confirmed. It remains safe to use and stable, though with lower quality components. It is not the best choice for serious overclocking or high-load scenarios like Bitcoin mining rigs or top-tier gaming systems. You can check the BIOS settings to see the voltage levels (3.3v, 5v, 12V) or use HWiNFO64 for more details.

It might be that the temperature is high, or your PSU has sufficient power for operation. You can check one review here: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/gig...ew,26.html for details on the OC setting.

I possess a 750w power supply and the temperature during gameplay never exceeds 63c. What is the model number of the PSU?

CoolerMaster G750M. The temperature reading is showing up during gaming sessions and online browsing at the same time.

Which oscillator configuration are you targeting (core clock, voltage reference, memory clock)?
