Every time I attempt to overclock "Amd overdrive," my screen flickers black and the windows I move around create trails, almost as if the video card drivers reset. I have a 725w power supply (I don’t need an input if it’s faulty) and also a Hyper Evo 212 cooler.

Wolf479 shares his experience with overclocking "Amd overdrive." He notices screen flashes, trail effects when dragging windows, and issues with drivers. He mentions having a 725w power supply and a Hyper Evo 212 cooler. He advises against overclocking beyond stock settings due to BIOS limitations and warns that higher voltages or frequencies can cause overheating. He recommends using the BIOS for adjustments and suggests specific settings like CPU core voltage, Turbo Core Technology, XMP support, and disabling certain features.

When attempting to boost "Amd overdrive" speeds, my display frequently turns black and the windows I move around with leave visible marks, resembling a reset of the graphics drivers. I have a 725w power supply and a Hyper Evo 212 cooler. Your options for overclocking are quite restricted with this model. The BIOS has limited features, and pushing beyond stock settings or exceeding 1.45V on the core will cause the motherboard voltage regulator to overheat. Avoid overclocking inside the operating system; use the BIOS instead. To adjust the CPU ratio in the BIOS to 22 for a 4.4GHz boost, set the CPU core voltage to 1.4V, turn off Turbo Core Technology, enable XMP if supported by your RAM, disable Cool and Quiet settings, and disable C1E support. After making these changes, perform a stress test to check stability and temperature under load.
