When using obs, my microphone works well but desktop audio feels muffled and echoey. I've checked various settings in both obs and Windows without success. For reference, you can view my past streams here: http://www.twitch.tv/imelkay/profile/past_broadcasts. It should play on Spotify or Teamspeak if you listen there.

I’m assuming you have Realtek audio drivers installed. Typically there’s a built-in feature called stereo mix that captures your desktop audio, though I’m not sure if there’s a way to add a second microphone. Also, your previous streams aren’t loading correctly for me. Could you confirm whether the stream is still active while you’re playing? If not, it might be OBS replaying it, which could cause echo issues. For distant sounds, it’s likely related to the desktop volume settings.

I have Realtek drivers installed. The stream isn’t open, but it seems the problem might be with OBS playback. Your Windows volume was set to 100—would lowering it help?

I’d likely experiment with the audio options and volume adjustments. Feel free to try it out if you’re interested.

I attempted everything, but the strange echo remains unchanged. It doesn’t match what I’m experiencing through my headphones.
