Issues with my XLR mic and the new headset mic
I’m working with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version 22H2, i9-10850k processor, and 64GB RAM. I’m having trouble with my new headset while doing online Spanish lessons. Regarding my studio setup, I’m using a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and have switched to XLR mics for clearer sound. I noticed I might have wasted the headset purchase since it didn’t improve my audio quality. My Spanish tutor is likely only hearing through one speaker or side, which could make conversations difficult. If I go with italki, I’m unsure about the video call setup—will there be a zoom feature? I’m also curious if a single-channel audio interface exists on Amazon that would work with my studio headphones and still have an analog jack for plugging in my XLR mic. My headphones seem to use an analog jack that fits into the back of my computer, but I’ve connected it to an adapter so it can link with my interface.

OBS worked quickly to learn its features. I recorded a video with the virtual cam, fixed the one-way audio issue in settings, and found that in Zoom I could choose "obs virtual cam." After testing my XLR mic, sound came through both sides of my headphones. I think I should return the new headset to Amazon for a refund. Thanks!
