I recently purchased a Razer 15. I78750h, RTX 2060, and 16 GB RAM. Despite updating the graphics card and enabling high performance settings, I’m still not seeing the frames I expect. From reviews and benchmarks, I’ve noticed issues. My GTX 2060 is running smoothly but consistently drops to around 30 FPS in games like GTA V, Halo Anniversary, and Counter-Strike. It’s making gameplay less enjoyable. I appreciate the build quality and Razer’s design but don’t understand why these problems persist.

It was overlooked that the base clock speed for the GPU is used often, especially when I begin gaming. This isn't related to thermal issues. Thank you for the clarification.

Performance issues often stem from high-performance settings, GPU replacement of iGPU, or an unplugged laptop.

They’re all ready and I only use it when it’s connected. I’m not sure if it might be a faulty unit. If that’s the case, please inform me so I can attempt a repair while it’s still covered under warranty. I haven’t experienced any problems before.

When GPU usage exceeds 80% during gameplay, it functions properly. It's tough to insist on FPS metrics without manufacturer assurances. Edited April 24, 2020 by LogicalDrm
