Issues with my custom ISO and office matters.
I downloaded my custom Windows 10 ISO onto a virtual machine and have some concerns – (to give you an idea, I plan to install this on actual hardware).
1) The OOBE was skipped, but I believe it’s the VMWare Easy Install option, since that would explain why my user account with my name wasn’t created.
2) I need to connect to a domain instead of logging in with a local account. I’m unsure if this is related to VMWare or the ISO itself, and I need to resolve this before installing.
3) The “@” key appears below the “2” key, not above it. This seems like a language or formatting quirk—possibly due to VMWare settings, or it might be a VMWare issue. I’ve kept only English in my ISO. Also, I’ve installed the advanced keyboard driver and all Windows drivers.
4) This involves MS Office. Although I don’t use Office much, it’s necessary because others use this PC. I have the product key, but when entering my email (like Gmail) that isn’t linked to my Office account on login, the system says the license will be sent to my email. Will this cause any issues?
Quick note: If you want, I can walk you through fixing the domain login setup.
<Small story-time warning. Please skip if you don’t have time.>
Spoiler: You could use the original email, but it might be your dad’s. He’d probably get upset if he saw you trying to log in with a different account, especially since he dislikes tech stuff. He’d also be frustrated if something breaks. That’s why I’m being careful. It’s the typical situation of a young enthusiast who loves computers but faces parental resistance.)
Disable all features and rerun the process to understand what's occurring. The behavior is influenced by how Office was activated. It seems like a keyboard-related problem. Avoid interacting with systems you shouldn't be in. Just experiment with your own setups.
It seems like this might be a Linus alt account trying to provoke, based on earlier comments.
What exactly are you asking? A silly profile picture and a awkward name don’t automatically mean I’m a troll.
