Issues with mobile hotspots
I've relied on my mobile hotspot for gaming over the past four years, but recently got a new phone. Whenever I try Discord voice chat or connect to a game server, it keeps dropping. On Discord it shows 5000 ping, then drops to 80, and then back up to 5000 again. When I search online or install games, everything works fine.
It seems to be a rechargeable device designed for providing wireless charging, possibly compact like a small pad or cube. Edited January 20, 2022 by Bombastinator
Consider adding that instead, since I’m using a T mobile hotspot on my phone.
It seems there might be some misunderstandings about the situation. I thought your device could be struggling with power output, but it’s possible other factors are at play. A few things come to mind: 1) a nearby strong RF source—like a welding machine or an old appliance—could interfere with phone calls. The fix would involve contacting the relevant authorities who can investigate and possibly retrieve the equipment. 2) T-Mobile has recently changed its transceivers, and removing one can disrupt reception. You might want to reach out to them for guidance. Both issues relate to radio interference, which could be monitored by government agencies.
