From what I discovered it looks like my motherboard doesn’t have HPET, but I was able to turn it off on Windows. I also tried some older drivers, and I’ll give it another shot. I talked to the store where I bought the PC—they asked me to record a video of my issue and share it on YouTube with them. I’ll do that and send you an update here.
Well thats an interesting request from a manufacturer. Usually they just want the pc to service it. Theyll need to attempt to diagnose the hardware issue. They may try to tell you "oh we gotta reinstall windows" if you do end up sending it back. Then theyll mail it back and say they fixed it. Be careful they dont give you the runaround.
Eventually reaching that well will cause trouble because I need the computer for my studies. The quality is really poor—don’t know why I keep watching YouTube. But you can see what I mean. Right after I walk through the door, you’ll notice a micro stutter and a drop in frames per second. After passing the two enemies, it becomes more obvious. That’s the problem I’m experiencing, as described. It happens most often when I switch areas, but sometimes it’s random too. It can occur in battle, whether I’m entering a small room or a large open space. It might seem insignificant to someone used to smooth gameplay, but for me, it’s really bothersome. The game runs on the minimum settings, yet it still behaves this way. On maximum settings, using DSR, FPS locks at 60 and then drops to 53 or 57.
You're probably on your phone right now. It seems adding 2x8GB RAM in dual-channel and using an SSD for asset loading might help. Your setup currently has 1x8GB in single-channel, which sometimes causes lag rather than smooth performance.
