Right now I’m using a Dell laptop with an i7 processor—probably something around the 2600HQ, though I’m not sure. It can manage tougher games like Arma 3 or Rust at reasonable frame rates. I’ve installed the 1.7.10 DW20 and 1.6.4 DW20 packages, allocating 2.5 and 4GB of RAM each time, but I’ve consistently only achieved about 14 FPS. In vanilla Minecraft, I’m seeing around 20 FPS on 1.11, which feels too low for the performance I need and the games I want to play. My Java is fully updated.

It could be a rendering area around 64 or higher values, possibly affecting performance. Natsoups' approach may resolve this issue, otherwise it remains unresolved.

I've reduced the rendering area to about 10-12 units, but it's not improving things. I haven't returned to my barracks yet to try Natsoups solution. I'll have to wait until around 7 PM tonight to test it.

That's acceptable, let's give it a shot.

FPS jumped past 30 when rendering a full scene before adjustments, and increased further once it stabilized and I tweaked certain parameters.
