Hey everyone, just finished my first build! I'm using a Ryzen 5 2600x with an ASRock B450 steel legend AM4 motherboard. Installed 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 RAM, but in Task Manager it's showing 2667MHz instead of the rated speed. After updating the BIOS, it still doesn't work properly. I've checked the BIOS settings and selected the right memory speed, but there seems to be an issue. The RAM is labeled as Ryzen compatible, so maybe something is wrong with the installation or configuration? Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks in advance! Happy holidays!

The motherboard provides additional XMP configurations. Since the CPU may struggle with 3600 MHz, the RAM might operate at its default speed of 2666 MHz, but using 3200 MHz could ensure stability.

Would you like me to test at reduced speeds and choose the maximum that works?

Memory specifications up to 2933MHz, DDR4 type, written on the AMD website regarding your CPU.

No, it doesn't necessarily mean you'd need to adjust your memory speed to 2933MHz. The requirement depends on the specific system and configuration you're using.

2933 could be a possibility, though 3200 tends to perform better. With a B450 board, you can achieve speeds beyond the official limits. Also, upgrading your CPU later may give you even faster results.
