Hey y'all Here's my specs first: ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 Corsair Vengeance LPX (4 x 16 GB) Samsung 970 EVO Plus KFA2 GeForce GTX 1650 Super EX Corsair RM650x AMD Ryzen 7 3700X I've been tinkering at the BIOS of this build for about 2 weeks now. The CPU i've got down to behave pretty well now. I've been experiencing some trouble when trying to adjust my RAM speed tho. According to CPU-Z as well as Corsair's own webpage, the SPD of it is 2133 MHz at 15-15-15-36 and 1.2 V. That's also what it is running at now. Now in the ROG's BIOS, in the Ai Tweaker options, i have the option to activate Asus's DOCP, which correctly recognises frequency and latency as well as voltage. I turned this own, tried saving and rebooting and the PC shuts off on its own mulitple times (and its one of those "click" and suddendly no more power shut down), I get no POST on every try and after multiple tries, it turns on without having changed anything according to CPU-Z and task manager. When I go into the BIOS again, the options are still the same, but the memory is running at 2133 MHz. Anything I'm doing wrong? I've tried manually adjusting the values aswell, same result. THanks for all of your help

It comes from Intel's XMP and AMD's DOCP profiles, but the actual memory kit provider handles the implementation. The setup requires two DIMMs per channel, which puts a lot of stress on the board—explaining why it doesn't work well with this premium build. No Ryzen issues here; the Intel platform handles it just like any other.

Adjust the BIOS to version 1.1 and memory size 1.35 MB. Reset the CMOS. Modified on June 15, 2020 by TofuHaroto

You might consider adjusting the timing manually if you have enough time—this can be quite long given the memory's high load—and alternatively tweak the frequency using the same settings in the XMP profile. For instance, standard timings like 16-18-18-38 at 1.35V become 2933MHz instead.

Based on what I understand, Ryzen doesn't like the CL15 architecture. From my own experience with multiple CPU configurations, overclocking is challenging—especially when you go beyond just the memory controller chips. The motherboard setup isn’t straightforward either.
