Issues with massive FPS, stuttering on a new gaming PC equipped with RTX 3070 and i5 13600K.
Hello!
I recently upgraded my PC with:
i5-13600kf
RTX 3070
2x16gb DDR5 RAM at 5600mhz
Corsair RM650x 650W (at least 5 years old)
The overall performance is good, but when I start a Twitch stream while playing CS2, everything almost freezes – the game, the stream, and nearly the whole system. I can still play, but I notice a huge drop in FPS. This didn’t happen with my previous setup using an i7-7700k, 16GB RAM, and a 1060 processor. However, when not streaming or doing anything else, everything runs smoothly.
In Task Manager, everything seems fine; temperatures are normal on all components, usage is typical, and the graphics driver is up to date. Windows is also in good shape.
Is this related to a power supply issue?
This is what I see during gameplay and while watching a stream on another monitor:
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Consider looking for a stable PSU with a minimum of 750W to cover your entire system, especially if you're planning to use it for longer than five years.
This setup didn’t encounter problems with my previous configuration that had an RTX3070 and 1060 graphics card.
What were your previous components before the RTX3070? Did you replace the motherboard or reinstall the operating system after moving platforms?
