Issues with low frame rates during gaming on this laptop.
I have an Alienware m18 4090 13th Gen Intel® Core i9-13980HX 2.20 GHz with 64 GB RAM, 4 TB storage, running Win11 Pro. During gaming sessions in titles like Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, War Thunder, etc., the settings are set high, but the FPS remains low, often around 100-200, and sometimes even dropping to 85. I checked what others experience in-game, and it seems to be between 200-400 FPS. Can someone help me figure out the issue?
Temperature and power will play a key role here. Even after plugging in, the CPU and GPU might draw more energy than available, causing them to reduce performance. You might notice the battery depleting faster while playing games. This issue could be fixed with a bigger external power source. If your tests were done using only battery power, the results won’t match real-world conditions.
When the components heat up enough, they will lower their output. You can assist by positioning the laptop to allow better airflow. Unless you match the original setup exactly—such as room temperature, display settings, and game configurations—the outcomes may vary. Each CPU and GPU behaves slightly differently.

Make sure you're not checking the desktop RTX 4090, as the laptop doesn't have anything close to that. Check the performance you're seeing using the provided link.
