Issues with low frame rate in Call of Duty: Warzone on a high-end PC
Hello,
I'm experiencing low frame rates on Warzone, around 120 FPS with everything set to low (1080p). When I go up to ultra, it drops to about 10 FPS, which is unexpected. I've tried updating Windows, BIOS, and drivers, checked the temperatures to rule out overheating, reinstalled both Windows and Warzone, and adjusted the priority settings. My system specs are: RTX 2080, Ryzen 9 3950x, 4x8GB RAM at 3600MHz, Samsun 970 EVO M.2 SSD, and a 950W power supply.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, thank you.
Are you pushing all the limits? The newest game patch (50gb+) appears to have increased the maximum settings, which negatively affected performance. On my 3080 at 1440p, I had to lower the settings afterward to maintain over 130 FPS. Prior to the update, I used maximum settings except for one exception.
I'm experiencing the same problems again.
Ryzen 3950x
Asus X570-f gaming motherboard
16Gb RAM 3200mhz, DOCP (or what the BIOS allows)
Gigabyte RTX3090 Eagle OC (Nvidia driver 456.71, using DDU when updating driver)
2x M.2 drives, one for system and another for games
750w gold PSU
Windows 10 - v. 2004
Getting near 18000 in score when running timespy. Benchmarks for CPU using cinebench etc are normal. Stress testing in MSI Kombustor when running monitor doesn't show anything unusual.
Regarding settings in Nvidia, I believe I've tried all options, from quality settings to high performance. Things like G-sync on/off.
I've also tested priority low, high, real time.
Chipset and CPU drivers are both installed, running AMD high performance powerplan. I've tried OC CPU in both Ryzen Master and CTR (Clock tuner for Ryzen).
I've adjusted every possible setting in-game, even reinstalled the game. I achieve 90-130 fps at 2550x1440
@144hz.
What might we be missing?
