They won’t necessarily adjust the game for PC hardware. It’s fine if it works without optimization.
The belief that any game running below 144hz is worthless is ridiculous.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey feels quite odd. The variation between 4k and 1440p is around 10 frames. Here are my MSI Afterburner observations for the same scene. At 1440p, the CPU is straining more and appears to be limiting the GPU because it never hits full power. In 4k it runs smoother with the CPU doing less work and the GPU operating at its maximum capacity. At 3840 X 1600 the average drops to 72 frames, matching what I see in RDR 2.

The developers might or might not be planning this, but it could be a clever approach.
It might seem odd at first, but others might interpret it as a positive twist...
Oh, it really has to be a great game if that’s true... needing the 3080Ti* in the future (can’t wait for that upcoming excitement).
(Thinking about what to buy beforehand)
Who knows why they’re doing this without consulting the technical team?
ACO though... the CPU requirements are quite high, and the demanding gameplay across different regions is really tough for higher settings.

It seems you're experiencing similar frame rates, which is logical given our shared GPU settings. The slight variation in CPU clock speeds between us could be the reason.

The i7 8086k runs at 5ghz across all cores, while the EVGA XC 2080 ti had +200 on memory and +117 on core speed, with a power limit of 130%. At 4k resolution, the GPU and CPU fans became very loud, making the game unplayable. I relocated the game to an ultra wide rig using an EVGA FTW3 Ultra, which provided extra cooling and made it playable. The game also consumes up to 150 watts more than usual, likely due to both CPU and GPU being active while other games mainly rely on the GPU with minimal CPU involvement.
