Issues with low frame rate and stuttering in Battlefield 6
System details: Motherboard Gigabyte B450 AORUS M Bios version F67, CPU AMD Ryzen 7 2700, RAM 64GB 3200MT/s (currently 2133MT/s), GPU AMD Radeon RX 9070XT, SSD SATA. Greetings, I attempted to play BF6 but it isn't working. CPU usage is around 80% while GPU usage stays low at 10-20%. All graphics settings are set to minimum with no improvement. I suspect a CPU bottleneck, but some people with similar CPUs report smooth performance. Any advice to resolve these problems? Thanks!
The CPU bottleneck definition suggests upgrading the processor and turning on EXPO if feasible. The CPU should run at PCIe 3.0 while the GPU operates at PCIe 5.0. If core count matters, consider a 5600X or similar. RAM speed is also quite low, so enabling EXPO is advisable.
Have you checked all the standard fixes? Updates, those kinds of things? Does another game run smoothly? You might want to focus on simple steps, such as confirming your HDMI cable is connected to the GPU and ensuring BF6 isn’t stuck at an oddly low value. Probably you’ve already tried that.
You possess a high-performance GPU but your CPU and memory setup barely meets the essential needs for 1080p30 gameplay. In this kind of environment, Battlefield demands a capable processor; using a 2700 is outdated and insufficient for a 9070xt. I often feel frustrated when people obsess over minor CPU issues, as most of the time they’re not even affected. On the other hand, you’re facing a genuine challenge—your system will never hit full performance and won’t make the most of that GPU.
