Hey there! I'm facing some trouble with Borderlands 3 on my setup. I have an i5 2500K, a GTX 1050 Super, 12GB RAM, and it's using an SSD. It's not the most powerful system, but I'm running it at low settings with 1080p. The frame rate keeps dropping to about 20 FPS and sometimes hits 1 FPS for short bursts. I've done a clean Windows install and tried the game, but nothing changes. CPU temperatures are normal too. Is this because my CPU is outdated or is there another reason? Any suggestions would be super helpful! Thanks a lot.

The RAM setup is quite unusual at 12GB.

You're running a 3x4GB configuration with a mix of dual and single channels, and only two sticks remain functional. That setup is common but could affect performance depending on your network setup. It might cause slower speeds or instability if the remaining sticks aren't properly managed.

The 2500k falls short of the required specifications for bl3. That’s likely the reason...

I was very concerned too. Upgrading my CPU from an old system requires a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM, which adds time and cost to the process. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

I was on that boat roughly a year back, hehe. The old specs just couldn’t last. I was also focused on the BL3.
