Playing at around 250-300 fps, but the frame rate drops to 60 or lower every few seconds before recovering. This causes stuttering and makes gameplay nearly unplayable. System specs: 4770k @ stock, Sapphire Tri-x 290 @ stock, 8GB HyperX Fury 1866Mhz (2x4 dimensions), installed on OS drive (Samsung 840 evo). I've tried other games like CS:GO and Metro: Last Light, but none show the same issue. After installing SpeedFan, the 4770k overheats to 75°C under load, so I ordered a Hyper 212 evo cooler for the CPU. Any solutions would be appreciated—my guess is it's a CPU problem since my GPU stays idle during League.

Keep it at 60 frames per second doesn't require high FPS.

It's still wiser not to lock it since it might fall under 60 even when secured. (This is just what I've noticed in the league, even with a solid setup.)

At 300 frames per second it may lag when dropping to 60 fps, but maintaining 60 fps ensures smooth playback

They might attempt something new.

I attempted to set it to 60, but it kept stuttering—just dropping below 60 fps. I fixed the client and checked processes; it turned out the razers statsmanager was consuming about 25% of my CPU during a League session, which likely caused the issue. Hopefully, the stuttering will stop now. c:
