I'm facing issues with launching and starting games. Certain titles like Battlebit freeze after a short time in a server, and Battlefield 4 fails to start altogether. Other programs such as Steam and EA's applications seem to be the culprits, though I haven't encountered problems with any other software. Synthetik and Ultrakill work without issues. My system is a brand new desktop with a fresh Windows 10 installation. The hardware specs are: Ryzen 5 7000X, MSI B650 WiFi motherboard, GTX 980 graphics, 650W power supply, MSI 16 GB RAM Corsair Vengeance SSD, and all drivers are up to date. Cooling works properly. It's possible the Anti-Cheat software is malfunctioning—it behaves oddly and doesn't generate expected files, but reinstalling/repairing didn't help. With Battlefield 4, Steam gets stuck in a loop installing PnkBuster, even after it's already installed, and when it isn't in the loop it keeps launching EA apps that crash immediately. Battlebit runs fine but then crashes after about 10 minutes of gameplay, with the GPU disconnecting from the monitor. When I run Easy Anti-Cheat as admin, it crashes instantly. Team Fortress also had some strange behavior, though less severe: after roughly 30 minutes in-game the GPU would briefly disconnect before reconnecting and everything worked again. Are these issues connected? Or are there other factors at play?

This indicates a missing document. You'll need to locate a reliable website, save the file, and then search for instructions on how to place it in a specific directory.

Thank you, the BF4 issue is resolved, though I keep experiencing crashes in Battlebit.

It appears underclocking your GPU with MSI Afterburner resolved the crashes. BFCGK’s advice about updating MSVCP120.dll also helped with my Battlefield 4 issues. The crash problem might stem from insufficient power or GPU performance, not just a PSU issue.
